Mabel Palacín: 180º is the title of a project which, curated by David G. Torres and promoted by the Institut Ramon Llull, will represent Catalonia and the Balearic Islands in their first joint participation in the Venice Art Biennale, the world’s most important contemporary arts show. It is a video-art installation in line with earlier works by Mabel Palacín, which have all won unanimous plaudits from the international critics. In her proposal, Palacín reflects on the crisis in the status of the image and the change in its relations with reality.

Mabel Palacín: 180º è il nome del progetto promosso dall’Institut Ramon Llull di cui è commissario David G. Torres e che rappresenterà la Catalogna e le Isole Baleari alla loro prima partecipazione congiunta alla Biennale d’Arte di Venezia, la mostra d'arte contemporanea più importante del mondo. Si tratta di un'installazione di video-art sulla stessa linea di altre opere precedenti di Mabel Palacín, che le sono già valse l’unanime plauso della critica internazionale. Nella sua proposta Palacín riflette sulla crisi dello status dell'immagine e sul cambiamento del rapporto dell'immagine con la realtà.
